My Story
I started taking photos back in high school — the old-school way, in a darkroom with the smell of developer on my hands and red light spilling across the trays. I didn’t know then what photography would become for me, but I knew even back then: capturing a moment felt like magic.
Life, as it does, took me on its own winding path. Marriage, motherhood, farming, and a whole lot of real-life living filled the years. Photography faded into the background — until one unexpected moment brought it all rushing back.
My oldest son asked for photos of one of his football games. I had planned to ask a friend, but when she couldn’t make it, I figured, why not me? I bought a new camera, dusted off what I remembered, and stepped behind the lens again. That night lit a fire in me I hadn’t felt in years.
As I kept showing up with my camera, I realized something deeper: our small community needed this. Our kids needed someone to celebrate them. And they deserved high-quality images to mark their milestones — no matter their family’s financial situation. That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a hobby. It was a calling.
Now, I photograph everything from seniors and families to elopements and real-life moments in between — all with the same belief: everyone deserves to be seen and celebrated. I’m here to capture your story with heart, honesty, and soul — and to make sure no one gets left out just because life’s a little tight.

Working with me isn’t about stiff poses or fake smiles. It’s about real connection, honest moments, and making space for you to be fully yourself.
Whether we’re chasing golden light through a wheat field, exploring your favorite backroad, or hanging out on your family’s porch, I’ll guide you just enough to help you feel comfortable — then step back and let the magic unfold. I don’t expect you to know what to do in front of the camera (that’s my job). All you have to do is show up as you are.
I create a laid-back, judgment-free space where kids can be wild, couples can be affectionate, and seniors can show off exactly who they are in this moment. No pressure, no performance — just genuine connection and a whole lot of heart.
You’ll walk away with photos that feel like you — not just how you looked, but how it all felt. And if cost is a concern, know this: I believe everyone deserves beautiful photos, and I’m always happy to work with you to make that happen.

Here’s how the process works:
1. Connect
We’ll start with a chat — by message, email, or call — where you can tell me all about what you’re envisioning (or even if you have no idea yet — that’s okay too!). We’ll talk location, vibe, wardrobe, and what you’re hoping to get from the session. This is also where I answer any questions and learn about you and your people.
2. Plan
Once we’ve nailed down a date and direction, I’ll help with anything you need: location scouting, outfit inspiration, or prepping little ones (or big ones!) for the shoot. I’m here to make this stress-free and fun from the start.
3. Shoot
This is where the magic happens. I’ll gently guide you into natural moments without making anything feel stiff or forced. We’ll laugh, explore, and create something that feels real. I’ll follow the light and the energy, so you can relax and just be in the moment.
4. Edit
After the session, I carefully hand-edit each image with intention — staying true to my dark & moody, earthy style while honoring the emotion and honesty of your story. I don’t batch or rush this part — it’s where your memories come to life.
5. Deliver
Your final gallery will be delivered in a beautiful, easy-to-use online gallery. From there, you can download your images, share them, and order prints if you’d like. These are your memories — made to last and meant to be seen.
